Transitioning From Corporate to Full-Time Entrepreneurship with Kesia King

Wouldn’t it be nice to have some help along your entrepreneurial journey from someone who has walked in your shoes?
Kesia King thought so too. After quitting her corporate job to become a full-time entrepreneur as the founder and CEO of @chopchopmobile , Kesia has been very transparent about some of the hardships she has faced along the way. She has also been very intentional about using her experiences as a learning opportunity for herself and others, not just through this podcast, but in her latest project - @empoweredwithkesiaking . Join us for a candid conversation featuring tips and tools to help make your entrepreneurial path smoother- and why faith is one of the most important tools you need in your box

Kesia founded CHOP CHOP Mobile Salon & Barber as a way to combine her love for hair care, fashion and beauty with her strong belief in creating platforms for multi-cultural engagement and interaction. Kesia created CHOP CHOP while being a wife, mother of two, and full-time marketing manager at a Fortune 500 company.

In 2016, Kesia's detailed business plan and impressive live pitch to ABC's Shark Tank star, Daymond John earned her a win and $20,000 in the Miller Lite Tap the Future semi-finals which provided the necessary funds to add the mobile salon trailer to CHOP CHOP's business offering and officially launched in 2017.

Kesia recently moved on from Corporate America to pursue the growth of CHOP CHOP full time and has recently launched another project, Empowered With Kesia King, to help budding creatives and aspiring entrepreneurs with personal and business branding, business plan development, and startup assistance. Kesia hopes to help individuals tap into their gifts and turn passion to profits.
