How To Strengthen The Bond Between Caregiver And Child

All month we've been talking about relationships; the relationships that we have with ourselves, our romantic partner and our friends. Today we are discussing our first relationship- the relationship between a caregiver and a child.

Kati Hill is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor. Her primary concentrations are Play Therapy, and Parent Coaching. She helps clients with a variety of presenting issues including, depression, anxiety, attention deficit/hyperactive behaviors, social difficulties, adjustment difficulties, behavior difficulties, anger, grief, and divorce.
She utilizes Play Therapy with children because Play therapy is to children what counseling is to adults. Play therapy builds on the natural way that children learn about themselves and the world around them and helps them to express their feelings more easily through toys instead of words.

Kati shares tips for building and strengthening the bond with your child or, if you're like me and don't yet have kids, you can identify positive ways to connect with the children in your life.
